Once we were back in UK, life got back to normal with SATs to mark....not as many as previous years because a lot of schools boycotted them this year. I resumed the quest for my wedding outfit and bought it after a mad dash from Oxford to Bourne End. Friend, Carole was a star showing no signs of stress as we made her sit in the back of our car quietly while we broke speed limits in an effort to get to the second shop before it closed. Why I imagined they would sell THE outfit between 4:30 and 5pm I don't know.
Had a lovely time in Richmond with our friends, Bettina and Klaus-Theo who were visiting from Germany, and spent a brilliant day down at Hazel and John's reminiscing about the good old Challenor days.
