A lot of time was spent in February dragging friends around dress shops to help me choose a Mother of the Bride outfit. Of course I pretended it was a real hassle, but in fact I loved every minute of it......had decided at the start what I wanted.....and just strung it out for as long as I could. Hilary decided I needed to realise that there was more to life than clothes shopping, so we went to Tenerife with them for a week in the sun. It was the first time we'd been to the Canaries and I have to say it was pretty impressive. We did all the usual tourist stuff and also found some rather splendid little eating and drinking places. (What's new!!!!)
